Transition Board
The boards of five merging northern and central Illinois library systems have voted to adopt an Intergovernmental Agreement to establishes a Transition Board of Directors for the merger. The agreement authorizes this Transition Board to oversee all development matters and make operational and planning decisions for the new system, beginning March 2011.
The Intergovernmental Agreement was approved by the boards of the Alliance Library System, DuPage Library System, Metropolitan Library System, North Suburban Library System, and the Prairie Area Library System. The proposed new system will provide services to more than 1,500 public, private, university, and school library members.
Each of the five systems’ governing board appointed representatives to serve as members of the Transition Board of Directors.

- Kathy Caudill (Open Meetings Act Designee) - Board President of the Ela Area Public Library District – Lake Zurich
- William "Bill" Coffee (Vice President) - Trustee of the LaGrange Public Library
- Alan Davidson (Secretary) - Trustee of the Princeton Public Library
- Donna Dziedzic - Executive Director of the Naperville Public Library
- Su Erickson (President) - Coordinator of the DuPage Library at Robert Morris University – Aurora
- Sue Herring (Freedom of Information Act Officer) - Trustee of the Fondulac Public Library District – East Peoria
- G. Victor "Vic" Johnson - Board President of the Arlington Heights Memorial Library
- Charlet Key - Director of the Black Hawk College Library – Moline
- Crystal Megaridis - Board Treasurer of the Indian Prairie Public Library, Manager of Library Services for Praxair Inc. – Burr Ridge
